A judge sentenced a New Hampshire man Tuesday for hiring illegal immigrants to work at Dunkin' Donuts all over the greater Portland area for years.
A judge sentenced 53-year-old George Valvanis to six months of home confinement, ordered him to pay $64,000 in fines and sentenced him to plus five years of probation, which includes 20 hours of community service a month. That community service includes classes on illegal immigration.
Between 2001 and 2009, he knowingly hired illegal aliens to work at Dunkin' Donuts restaurants throughout greater Portland.
