Border Patrol Chases Illegal Immigrant Vehicle to Logan Heights

LOGAN HEIGHTS -- A police chase of suspected illegal immigrants ended just before noon Wednesday in Logan Heights.

The Border Patrol tried to stop a suspected "load vehicle" carrying suspected illegal immigrants when the chase began.

The California Highway Patrol joined Border Patrol vehicles in pursuing the pick-up truck as it traveled north on the 805 to I-15 before ending at Newton Avenue & 32nd Street in Logan Heights.

A San Diego 6 News crew at the scene reports three people appear to be in custody and others, including the driver, are on the run. Police and Border agents searched the neighborhood.
