Rescues

Ajo Border Patrol agents responded to an activated rescue beacon and found an illegal immigrant nearby who said he'd been lost in the desert. In a separate incident, Ajo agents rescued an illegal immigrant suffering from early signs of dehydration and chest pains. In both cases, agents transported the people to the Ajo station where they were treated by Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue agents. Neither required further medical treatment.

On Saturday, the Ajo Station received a 911 call transferred from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department about two people requesting assistance. Agents responded to an area north of Lukeville and found two illegal immigrants in good condition. Both were transported to the Ajo Station for processing.

Also on Saturday, BORSTAR agents conducting patrolling south of Casa Grande discovered human skeletal remains. The Tohono O’odham Police Department was contacted and took custody of the scene.
