Illegal immigrant charged with false ID

Benjamin Marroquin-Diaz, 24, no known address, was charged with false identification to law enforcement after he identified himself as another man but could not remember his date of birth during a vehicle stop in the 1200 block of Brandywine Street at 5:03 p.m. Saturday, police said.
Marroquin-Diaz, who was a passenger in the vehicle, identified himself as George Hurst, police said. Police determined that Marroquin-Diaz is from Mexico, was in the United States illegally and had been deported on three previous occasions.
He was placed in county prison, with bail set at $9,500. Immigration officials were notified.
