ICE investigating Tyler business

TYLER — ICE officials have left the scene of the China King restaurant on Broadway in Tyler, after several hours of employee questioning.

Employees at the China King restaurant say nobody was taken into ICE custody, and all employees complied with investigators.

The restaurant will remain closed the rest of the day.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents confrim there is a raid in progress at the China King in Tyler.

The business, located in the 4500 block of South Broadway, remains closed while ICE members interview people inside the restaurant.

ICE released the following statement:

"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement along with U.S. Homeland Security are conducting an ongoing investigation, which the China King is a part of because it is ongoing. No further details can be released at this time."

Tyler police are assisting in the raid.
