Glendale police: 18 arrested at suspected drophouse Saturday

Officers found 18 suspected illegal immigrants in a vacant house on the 7700 block of West Vermont Avenue, Glendale police said Monday.
Police responded to a call Saturday morning reporting a vacant house with many people inside, Glendale Sgt. Brent Coombs said.
Glendale police arrested the people inside the suspected drophouse. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took over the investigation.
ICE spokesman Vincent Picard said 12 people including 10 men, one woman and one male juvenile were identified as Guatemalan. Two men and one were identified as Mexican, he said. One man and one male juvenile were from El Salvador and one male juvenile was from Ecuador.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is continuing the investigation.
