LAREDO, Tx.- An 18 year old girl was arrested by federal agents accused of transporting an under age Mexican, making it seem like the minor was her sister.

Aubrey Michelle Higgins, a Michigan resident, was arrested on the Gateway to the Americas international bridge, after trying to cross to the U.S through the pedestrian line.

The subject was accompanied by a young girl that presented an American Passport with the name of Amanda Carrie Higgins, one of Aubrey Michelle's sisters.

The two were sent to secondary and during the interrogation, the younger girl finished admitting that she was an illegal Mexican.

The minor told authorities she was headed to Michigan to study.
