David Silva, 40, was arrested Sunday on a felony robbery charge stemming from a Sept. 2 confrontation with the woman at an apartment complex on Dunleaf Arc Way near Norcross.

The 31-year-old alleged victim, a resident at the complex, told police she owed Silva some money and he exacted revenge by robbing her and stealing a wheel of her car, according to a Gwinnett police report.

The woman told police Silva approached her in a parking lot outside her building, put her in a head-lock and forced her keys and cell phone from her hands. He then packed up the stolen car wheel in his truck and drove away, the report states.

The alleged victim “said Mr. Silva was angry, because he wanted his money immediately,” a responding officer wrote.

Aside from three broken fingernails, the woman was not injured.

A witness corroborated the woman’s statements, the report states. No reason was given for the woman’s alleged debt to Silva.

Sheriff’s Department authorities placed an immigration hold on Silva following his arrest. Jail records show he was born in Mexico.

For now, he remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
