Teen will likely be deported following sentencing for forgery

An Austin teenager is likely to be deported after he was sentenced on a felony forgery charge Monday.

Luis Alberto Sanchez-Perez, 19, was sentenced to a 366-day prison term, stayed three years. However, he was also ordered to cooperate with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Department, meaning he could be out of the country before his Mower County sentence is up.

According to court records, a 1110 11th Ave. SW home belonging to Sanchez-Perez and Patricia Rodriguez-Sanchez, 27, was searched by authorities on June 12.

Authorities found a Quality Pork Processors “Employee of the Month” plaque from 2006 that had Rodriguez-Sanchez’s picture but the name “Lisa M. Salazar” on it. Other items were found in that name, including an IRS document, a Minnesota Health Care Program card for her 5-year old child and a state ID. Authorities also confirmed with Mower County Human Services that Rodriguez-Sanchez had been receiving health benefits since 2002.
