A spokesman for the Darlington County Sheriff's Office says deputies arrested a wanted fugitive from El Salvador while working Interstate 20.
Andy Locklair says the deputy stopped an F-350 pick-up around Noon yesterday for a traffic violation.
One of the occupants in the truck was identified as Manuel De Jesus Maravilla-Munoz according to his El Salvadoran passport.
After checking his information, Locklair says it was learned that Maravilla-Munoz was wanted by US customs agents in Texas for immigration violations. Maravilla-Munoz was transported to the Darlington County Jail awaiting pick-up from Federal agents.
