News paper pilferer back on scene; illegal drives drunk; man enters two homes trying to elude police

* Daniez Salas, 22, of Hopewell Township, was arrested early Thursday on the charge of driving while intoxicated.
Salas was arrested in the parking lot at Towne & Country Liquors, located on East Broad Street (Route 49), after an off-duty police officer reported an erratic driver on the state highway.
In addition to drunken driving, Salas was cited for driving while unlicensed, reckless driving and refusing to submit to blood-alcohol content testing.
A suspected illegal immigrant, Salas was lodged in Cumberland County Jail without bail on a detainer issued by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
