CHARLESTON -- A traffic stop on Interstate 79 ended with the arrest of three undocumented immigrants from Mexico . Trooper B.L. Meeks and Trooper. M. J. Napier stopped a Chevrolet pickup truck with Missouri registration Tuesday afternoon near exit 1 for following too closely, according to a release from State Police.

During the stop, the troopers discovered that Ciro Jimenez-Garcia, 22, Orlin Cerrato, 23, and Arnold Bardales-Cantillano, 20, were in the country illegally, the release said.

All three were from Mexico, but none of them could provide the proper documentation to the troopers that they entered the country legally. A female and her infant were also traveling with the immigrants, but were released after it was determined that they were legally in the country. All three were taken into custody and transported to the South Central Regional Jail where they will be taken to Pennsylvania for initiation of the removal process, the release said.

The process will be handled by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
