A traffic stop Friday afternoon by the Patton Township police resulted in the detention of five undocumented immigrants.

According to the press release, an officer observed a Pontiac sedan make an illegal turn at the intersection of Vairo Blvd. and North Atherton St. The driver was unlicensed and his four male passengers did not speak English and did not have identification. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were contacted and they requested that Patton Township take the four into custody until they could be transferred to ICE officials.
