PHOENIX - Two of three suspects arrested in a fake bomb scheme will be released from jail Wednesday night, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

Luwiza Daman and Shullu Gorado were accused of trying to sneak a fake bomb past security at Sky Harbor Airport. Once released, the African refugees will be turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

We've learned the county attorney sent the case back to Phoenix Police for possible further investigation. Right now prosecutors don't have enough evidence to charge the pair.

Daman was caught with a cell phone taped to a contained of food at the security checkpoint. She told TSA agents Gorado gave her the package to deliver to friends in Iowa. Gorado affirmed that story while speaking to detectives.

In a jailhouse interview with FOX 10, Gorado claimed this was all a big misunderstanding.

"I send food to my friend to give it in Iowa, unfortunately there was a cell phone in the food, together they say those things are illegal."

The third person, Shani Asa, is still behind bars waiting for his next court appearance.
