MEDINA, Minn. - Medina police and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have called off a search for two men in the swampy area near Baker Park in Medina, Minn.
Police say ICE agents stopped a van with six people inside Tuesday morning while searching for a person of interest. That person was taken into custody along with three other individuals in the van. However, police say two other individuals ran from the scene.
A police K-9 team was called in to help search for the individuals but the dog quickly lost the scent and the search was called off. Police say the two men were not wanted and were not considered a threat.
An ICE spokesman has not yet responded to questions about the person of interest in the arrest.
Several schools and daycares were put on alert during the search, but have been cleared to continue their day.
