CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Federal agents have detained more than a dozen suspected illegal immigrants after the bus they were riding on was pulled over for speeding in Franklin County.
State police say they pulled over the speeding bus Tuesday morning in Antrim Township. Authorities say the bus was carrying more than 50 Asian passengers, some of whom could not provide documentation.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers took 18 passengers into custody. The department says they will be processed for removal from the country but declined to release further information.
The bus was seized by ICE, and another bus transported the remaining passengers to their destination.
