BISHOPVILLE — Immigration authorities have identified one of two men who refused to give police their names after a traffic stop early Saturday.

Juan Manuel Diaz Robiero was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on Route 113 for speeding and suspicion of DUI, according to Maryland State Police.

Robiero, 19, admitted to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency that he is in the U.S. illegally from Mexico, police said.

He is being held on a $3,000 bond and an Immigration and Naturalization Service detainer for investigations related to deportation, police said.

Police have not released the driver's name. He has yet to be charged criminally, and is being held only on DUI charges, police said.
