HIDALGO|ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARRESTED

U.S. Border Patrol agents took 19 illegal immigrants into custody with the help of National Guard soldiers Saturday.

A soldier stationed near Hidalgo saw a group of people walking north using night vision technology, Border Patrol spokesman Daniel Milian said.

The soldier alerted Border Patrol agents about the group and agents were able to arrest 19 illegal immigrants. Three people from the group were able to elude authorities and were not arrested. Milian said.

Of the 19 illegal immigrants taken into custody, 17 of them were from Mexico and two were from Honduras.
